General Information & Policies
We are pleased to present our 2026 Catering Handbook. If you do not find a selection that meets your event needs, our team can design a custom menu aligned with your budget and service requirements.
We use high-quality ingredients and source locally whenever available.
We incorporate sustainable service practices, including premium biodegradable paper products where applicable.
Menu indicators include Vegetarian (V), Vegan (VG), Gluten-Free (GF), Dairy-Free (DF), and Nut-Free (NF)
Halal or Kosher Chef's Choice meals are available with a minimum of one (1) week's advance notice.
All allergen-based dietary requests must be submitted at least five (5) business days before service.
Additional charges may apply due to specialized ingredients.
All services are subject to staffing, production, and scheduling availability.
Jumpin' Jambalaya is not liable for service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including power outages, facility restrictions, or government-mandated closures.
Budget, Payment & Billing
A signed Service Agreement and deposit are required to secure an event date.
Final Guest Count and balances are due according to the terms in the executed Service Agreement.
Invoices are calculated from the guaranteed count provided five (5) business days prior, or actual attendance, whichever is greater.
Wedding tasting fees (per person) are credited to the final balance upon confirmed booking.
Booking & Cancellation Procedures
Please contact the catering department at least ten (10) business days before your event.
Requests with fewer than ten (10) business days' notice are subject to availability.
Accepted orders placed within 24 hours of service may incur a 10% late fee based on the total invoice amount.
Guaranteed Final Guest Count is due five (5) business days before the event.
Cancellations made at least five (5) business days in advance incur no cancellation charge.
Cancellations made within 48 hours are billed at 75% of the total estimated charges.
No cancellation fee is charged for severe weather-related cancellations; Jumpin' Jambalaya may cancel service if conditions are unsafe.
In compliance with Washington State regulations, leftover food remains the property of Jumpin' Jambalaya and is removed after four (4) hours of service.
Dishware & Service
Standard china is included for full banquet dinner events held at Highline College
China service for breakfast or lunch is available for an additional amount (per place setting).
Premium hard-plastic dishware is available for an additional amount (per place setting).
Premium paper products are included for breakfast, lunch, and appetizer/snack events.
Client is responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged catering equipment (including china, glassware, linens, and silver), with replacement charges added to the final invoice.
Standard pricing includes up to two (2) hours of service; additional hours are billed hourly per staff member.
The catering team requires access to the event space at least 90 minutes before service starts.
Taste Testing Policy
Taste testing is available for wedding receptions only and by appointment.
Includes sampling of three (3) entrées and three (3) side dishes. Additional items are billed separately.
Per person, up to six (6) guests; credited to the final invoice upon confirmed booking.
Alcohol & Bar Service Agreement
Jumpin' Jambalaya does not sell alcohol. The client must provide all alcoholic beverages.
Client must obtain and provide a valid Washington State Banquet Permit.
Bartenders are MAST 12 certified and billed hourly.
Events serving alcohol require a signed acknowledgment of the separate Alcohol Policy Agreement.
